Dear Inglis Family, I was greatly saddened by the news of Alan’s death. I have such great memories of him being so skillful in the OR “ Neat but not gaudy” he would say. He also gave my son Peter his first haircut at Caspary. Will such fond memories, Stan Asnis, MD HSS class of 1975.

Dr. Inglis was my inspirational instructor in "orthopaedic anatomy" during my first year at Cornell Medical School. He was absolutely a dynamic instructor and a big reason in my decision to go into orthopaedic surgery. He continued as an important mentor during residency at HSS, and even more so during the CAP (rheumatoid arthritis surgery) fellowship at HSS. His guidance and kindness will be with me forever. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Dr Paul Lachiewicz
