Vincent(Vinnie) F. Montesano, 82, of Mamaroneck, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 3, 2021.  He was the son of Italian immigrants, Lucio and Venera Montesano.   Born in the Bronx, he graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School. Vinnie then joined the US Navy Submarine Service and served 4 years aboard the USS Bang.

Following his years of service, Vinnie worked as a Coca Cola delivery driver in the city, owned his own bar in the Bronx and then as a bartender at McGraw’s in Manhattan.  He then found his way “upstate”, where he became an employee of the Village of Mamaroneck.  There, he and his wife Eleanore raised three wonderful and successful children. After retiring, he spent all of his time in the place he loved the most, his home.  Vinnie was an avid Mets and Giants fan and loved to tell you what they needed to do to win.

Vincent was predeceased by his parents and wife,Eleanore Rita.   He is survived by his three children, Vincent (Jennie) Montesano, Maureen (Michael) Flaherty, Richard (Jennifer) Montesano as well as his 7 grandchildren (Jack, Maura, Sean, Kate, Devin, Emily and Taylor) whom he adored.

The family would really like to thank Vinnie’s neighbors who kept a watchful eye on him and the house and kept his driveway clear in the winter.
