How I will miss my beloved, beautiful aunt, my dad’s little sister and the last surviving Brennan of her generation. She took me on my first boat ride in Long Island Sound and on my first trip to Playland. She was the first person to meet my puppy, Schatsie, and loved playing with her. We visited a few short weeks ago and I am still stunned it was our last visit as she was so energetic and vital, laughing and playing with Schatsie on the floor. Dawn was loyal, traditional and family-centered. My husband and I grew especially close to her in the years since my grandmother died. We certainly had many good times and laughs at 16 Fenton Street. I am grateful the last words we said to each other were I Love You. When it comes right down to it, that is all there is, love. Dawn, I will miss you terribly. Kim, Dee, Brian, Kelsey, Christopher and Patrick, you meant the world to her and my heart aches for your loss.
