I didn’t know Mr. Ford well but I met him once in the Rye Starbucks and I we began chatting as you do. We ended up chatting for an hour as he told me about his wife. Not only was it one of the most interesting hours I’ve ever spent, the love he felt for his wife showing through. Ironically, I ran into him again at Starbucks about two months ago and I remembered him instantly. What made me feel so good was that he remembered me as well and we stood chatting for about half an hour and caught up with each other. He was a wonderful man. To his children and family: your Dad was an amazing person. I’m so happy I got the chance to know him even if only briefly. I pray that his soul rests in perfect peace and I’m sure he’s with your mother again.

Mrs.Saracino, many years and many memories. I’m thankful our families were connected in so many ways through the years, including the Cotter connection. On a lighter note, he always enjoyed the banter with Marc and breaking his chops. The best was when he would tell Marc to make sure he paid the Con Ed bill FIRST each month, LOL !!!! Love you guys and thank you for your tribute.

George was such a integral part of the fabric and charm and love we all share on our beloved cul-de-sac.
The day just wouldn’t be the same without seeing him walking up and down the street.”making his rounds” and stopping and chatting with whoever he ran into. Nothing got by George. He knew exactly where every drain pipe, gas line, utility line, etc was ,on every property on our street.. He kept an eye out for the whole street and kept the town workers and Con-Ed on their toes whenever they came to our street because they all knew George would be out there checking up in them. Gonna miss you my friend. Been a long long time but you are finally back together with Liz.

Bill, we were blessed to have such amazing neighbors who always watched out for my Dad. You were so good to him over the years, he held you in the highest regard and believe me, he will be watching over you, Mrs Inglis and the entire family. The Inglis family was part of my Dad’s life for 44-years and we couldn’t be more thankful for that friendship. God Bless all of you….

I was lucky enough to spend many hours in Mr. Fords office. He was a kind, respectful, caring, dedicated, funny and intelligent man. And he was old school. I will miss him a lot.
My deepest condolences to the Ford family.

A kind, witty, dedicated man, George was always welcomed to my table at the Rye Starbucks. His insightful and intelligent conversation was always appreciated by me and my friend who would often accompany me. Blessed to have known him for these 10+ years.
