Mary and family; I was shocked and saddened to hear the news; Maggie and I chatted on the phone for some time remembering all the fun times that we shared together. I met Brian quite frequently in the city, usually at an Irish-related event. He always seemed so happy - smiling, telling stories, regaling past times shared on the golf course with my dad, Michael.
Attached are a few photos from the 2010 "Michael Ennis Golf Invitational" in which I had the privilege of playing! Fond memories indeed.

My deepest condolences to Mary and the whole O’Byrne family. Though I only met Brian a few years ago, I was so very fond of him. He was a great boss - smart, supportive, helpful and fun, and a great mentor. But what I will miss most is our chats – I looked forward to seeing him pull up a chair at the end of the workday to catch up. Though he nicknamed me “Chatty Kathy”, I think he loved to chat more than I did! We would chat about politics, travel and work, but mostly family. He had tremendous pride in his big Irish family and he loved sharing stories about you all He also loved hearing all the news about my big Irish family and what we were up to. I will miss him - rest in peace Brian.

Mary and Family I am just so so saddened to hear of Brian’s untimely death far far to young and such an energetic and agile mind full of a wonderful business acumen and mischief too. My dearest memories go back to your wonderful welcome to me at Thanksgiving 1983 , 40 years ago this November the warmth and kindness extended to me by you Mary and Brian has stayed with me all my life . North siders one and all , I think was an added glue to our friendship, the tail pulling was a different level and Brian from first meeting would look to make sure dark socks lay beneath the trousers a lesson harshly learned as a 19 year old exposed to the put downs of the international team no more light coloured socks for Me , but Brian was so generous in his treatment of colleagues and sought to pass on his vast knowledge of business in a caring highly respectful way , I am so so saddened by the news of his passing and Mary for your loss and those of your children and Grandchildren , I am so privileged to have worked with Brian and while never matched his sartorial elegance , I look down at my dark socks and smile .
