Jimmy was the living definition of kindness & generosity. I remember many a night tipping beers with him at Foleys & seeing that ever present smile , always making all of us there feel welcome . Even tho it’s been many years & miles since we’ve seen each other I’m sure he will be missed dearly by those whose lives he touched with his warm demeanor.

JImmy had such an honest, almost child-like smile he beamed at us. We had common friends, especially high wife's brother "Mac", his brother Bobby, Mario, and the late Jack McGovern.
The mold was lost when Jimmy was made....a wonderful, warm, and truly funny man.

Jim -- Goodspeed to you for your journey.
You were (along with Bob) my first friend moving to White Plains at 8 years old and continued through life being so. I am very glad we were able to meet up several times in recent years to catch up and share some of the old stories of our young days. From the paper route ( I as your assistant!) to the Beaver Patrol in Boy Scouts (You were the leader) you were always a kind and good friend.
Many will miss you for the great human you were.

Jim Finneran was a genuine friend to more people than I could ever count. When my brother Bill was put into a nursing home in White Plains, Finn visited him every week for years until Covid was sent our way. He always made me feel like he was glad to see me when sometimes I'm sure he wasn't. He had a big smile and a bigger heart.
The last time I spoke to Jim he was on his way to Sloan Kettering for one treatment or another. When I wished him luck, he told me he had always been the luckiest guy he knew and he was being treated by the best doctors in the world, so he didn't need any more luck.
What a guy. I miss him already.
